ORDINANCE NO. 1749

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 4-215 OF THE BUILDING CODE OF THE CITY OF GOODLAND, KANSAS.

                WHEREAS, the City of Goodland established Sec. 4-215 Certificate of License- in the Building Code and it states that; Each person required to be licensed under the provisions of this article shall be required to carry a card which designates the type of work that he or she is licensed to perform and such card will be issued each year upon approval of such person’s license application.

                WHEREAS, the Governing Body finds it is in the best interest of the City to amend the code from “Cards” to mail in paper and e-file type “Certificates”.

            NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF GOODLAND, KANSAS:  

                Section 1. Chapter 4 Article II Division I Section 4-215 is hereby amended to read as;
Each person required to be licensed under the provisions of this article shall be required to carry a certificate which designates the type of work that he or she is licensed to perform and such certificate will be issued each year upon approval of such person’s license application.

SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in force and take effect after its publication in the Goodland Star News.

PASSED AND ADOPTED this 18^th day of April, 2022, by the Governing Body of the City of Goodland, Kansas.
