Welcome March! Come Join Us for “First Week” Events!
Get ready for some fun at the High Plains Museum, Carnegie Arts Center, and the Goodland Public Library during the first week of March. The “First Week” monthly event in Goodland features family friendly programming that provides a great opportunity to get out and enjoy Goodland culture and history.
Starting on Thursday, March 1st, the Carnegie Arts Center is hosting a brown bag luncheon at noon. Bring your lunch to the Carnegie Arts Center and enjoy a short program on cooking a special St. Patrick’s Day menu by Bill Petersen of Olde Westport Spices. Sample tasty treats and get great recipes to share with your family.
On Friday, March 2nd, the Goodland Public Library is showing Leprechaun (1993, Rated R, 91 minutes), beginning at 7:30 pm. Following the movie will be a Leprechaun hunt in Gulick Park, so bring your flashlight!
On Saturday, March 3rd, stop by the Carnegie Arts Center, Goodland Public Library, and the High Plains Museum from 1 to 5 pm for free family friendly activities! From 6:30 to 7:30 pm on Saturday, March 3rd, the High Plains Museum is hosting “Bedtime at the Museum”; bring your pillow and wear your PJs (if you’d like!), to listen to a story. The first 15 kids at the Museum get to make a simple craft.
