The Goodland Police Department has changed the process for VIN inspections. You no longer need to schedule an appointment if you want an inspection Monday through Friday. We will take any walk-ins. If you would like to make an appointment we will be happy to schedule that for you, but it is not necessary. Times for walk-ins or scheduling will be 7:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. For your convenience, we will also be available to do inspections on the weekends by appointment only. We will also come to you if the vehicle has expired registration or cannot be driven (City limits only).

Information about the inspection process:

• We cannot do salvage or antique titles. You can call the Goodland Police Department and we can direct you to the Kansas Highway Patrol
• You will need to have the title or certified copy of the title
• You will need to have your driver’s license
• There is a $20 fee for the inspection (cash or check is preferred, but a debit or credit card can be used during business hours 7:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. in the office only)
