RESOLUTION NO. 1565
A RESOLUTION LIFTING RESTRICTIONS ENACTED BY RESOLUTION NO. 1563;
PERTAINING TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC

WHEREAS,    on April 6, 2020, the governing body approved Resolution No. 1563, which enacted restrictions on physical public attendance, live public comments, authorized remote participation in public meetings, and authorized the City Manager to cancel public meetings of the City when deemed necessary for public health, safety and welfare; and

WHEREAS,    Resolution No. 1563 remains in effect until August 4, 2020 unless repealed or extended by the governing body; and

WHEREAS,    the governing body desires to now repeal the restrictions implemented in Resolution No. 1563.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF GOODLAND, KANSAS:

SECTION 1.   Repeal.

The restrictions enacted by Resolution No. 1563 are hereby repealed.

SECTION 2.   Effective Date.

This Resolution shall become effective on June 1, 2020, or upon the Governor of Kansas entering into “Phase 2” of her phased reopening plan; whichever shall come first.

PASSED AND ADOPTED this 18^th day of May, 2020 by the Governing Body of the City of Goodland, Kansas.
