Parks Department Adds Dog Waste Stations to Several City Parks
The City of Goodland Parks Department has added several Dog Waste Stations to parks around town.
In an effort to reduce dog waste in City parks and acknowledge that dog ownership continues to increase in popularity, Dog Waste Stations have been added to Pioneer, Phillips, Chambers, Gulick, Memory and Rosewood Parks. Another Dog Waste Station will be placed in Steever Park in early spring once construction of the Topside Trail has been completed.
This action was recommended by the Goodland Parks & Recreation/Tree Advisory Board and carried out by City Parks Department staff. All Dog Waste Stations are in close proximity to garbage disposal cans. The seven new stations, combined with the two Dog Waste Stations already in place at the Pioneer Dog Park, give the Goodland community a total of nine total facilities.
