RESOLUTION NO. 1551
A RESOLUTION RELATING TO SECTION 13-510 OF THE GOODLAND MUNICIPAL CODE; DESIGNATING A DOG PARK WITHIN PIONEER PARK IN THE CITY OF GOODLAND, KANSAS
WHEREAS, the Governing Body of the City of Goodland, Kansas did on May 6, 2019 pass and adopt Ordinance No. 1723, an Ordinance relating to dog parks and off-leash areas in the City of Goodland; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 1723 states in Sec. 13-510(a) that “…Dogs may be allowed to run at-large within dog parks and off-leash areas as designated by the governing body. The designation of such parks and off-leash areas shall be made or revoked through resolution and at the recommendation of the City Manager…”; and
WHEREAS, the Governing Body of the City of Goodland, Kansas does now desire to designate a dog park and the City Manager does recommend such a designation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF GOODLAND, KANSAS:
That a dog park in Pioneer Park is hereby designated only within the fenced enclosure constructed for such purposes and further illustrated under “Exhibit A,” a document which shall accompany this resolution.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Resolution and designation shall become effective concurrently with the effective date of Ordinance No. 1723.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of May, 2019 by the Governing Body of the City of Goodland, Kansas.
