Did you know Goodland had a Welcome Wagon during the 60’s?  The photograph on the left is from 1960 and was taken during the welcome wagon groups meeting.  The two women seated in front are the co-hostesses, Pat Knudson and Francis Maricle.  The welcome wagon would come around to people new in the community and have items to help them get situated; such as baked goods and household items.  It was also a good way for new members of the community to meet people.
